About

About the BIG TAN BARN:

The Barn was being designed in 2004 when my wife (Heather) and I decided to build a garage slightly larger than my vehicle collection at the time. A second floor was in the works for parts and material storage to allow for a clean and neat garage. With the two floors allowing for close to seven thousand square feet, it was time to build a home.

Our home design was our dream home. Being young, we had no concept of size… so we decided to “move into the Barn” until we knew what we really needed in our future home. Of course, moving into the barn cut into parts storage space. Now with two little children added to our home, even a couple car bays have been tied up with bicycles and toys – but well worth it.
As a father, I take pride in  my family and take time to be with and do for my children, so if you stop by, you may see my children at play, or a tree house being built.

As a hobby garage, my garage has equipment that rivals (and in some cases, surpasses) most professional restoration outfits.  I take pride in actually knowing how to use all of my equipment well. Although I stick to working on my own vehicles, I will occasionally give tips and pointers to those just starting out in the hobby.

My goal in vehicle restoration would be to exceed anyone’s expectations at every interaction and maintain a passion for excellence and quality on a daily basis. I have reported local and national victories with cars of my restorations.  When activity in the garage is low, I hope to continually update this website, to allow it to become a resource for those needing help.

I am an automotive hobby restoration specialist. My hobby specializes in Restoration, Repair, Body Work, Engine, Upholstery, Paint, and more. I can do anything from Antique to Muscle Cars at my ONE-STOP-Hobby Garage. I bring together a rich history, pride in craftsmanship, and experience that does the job right the first time.

You may ask, "what makes you qualified to do anything?"    Besides performing the restorations of my many vehicles, I am an ASE certified master technician, trained through General Motor's ASEP program.  I continued my education and received my BS / MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in the automotive field.  I worked at the General Motor's Global Alternative Propulsion Center on the research and development on the Hydrogen Powered Fuel Cell vehicles where I have trade secrets and patents under my belt.  Besides all of that, over 25+ years of automotive knowledge and experience could speak for itself.
